Construction of Joetsu Chemical Laboratory Completed

Kissei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Mutsuo Kanzawa) is pleased to announce the completion of Joetsu Chemical Laboratory whose construction has been under way in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture. The details are provided below.

3. Aims of construction:

By reinforcing the facility for the research and manufacturing of drug substances for pharmaceuticals that comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP; a standard related to the manufacturing and quality control of pharmaceuticals), we will establish an industrial manufacturing process for our company's new drug development projects, and construct a setup that would enable us to efficiently procure drug substances and to gather and manage technical information on the manufacturing process as well as GMP-compatible information, thereby strengthening our company's drug substance research and manufacturing functions.
At the new facility, we will carry out the research of drug substances for pharmaceuticals, and manufacture drug substances primarily for use in non-clinical and clinical tests that are in line with our company's new drug development projects.
