Notice Concerning Revisions to Financial Results Forecast

In light of the recent trends in financial results and other factors, KISSEI PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. (the "Company") announces that it has revised the financial results forecast announced on November 8, 2022 as follows.

Reasons for the Revision

Net sales for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023 are expected to be lower than the initial forecast due to technical fees deferred to the following fiscal year, together with the overall sales of pharmaceuticals expected to be lower than the forecast, despite the growth of new product sales in the Pharmaceutical Business. Regarding profit, the Company expects an operating loss and a decrease in ordinary income compared to the initial forecast due to the failure to achieve net sales and the anticipated increase in the cost of sales ratio from 50.2% which was initially expected, to the 52% range. Profit attributable to owners of parent for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023 is expected to decrease by 2.8% due to an increase in gain on sales of investment securities.
